GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 5:45pm. Break open the champagne. We are celebrating. NO SPIKING IN THE MOTOR/SENSORY CORTEX!!!!! She is still in surgery...Dr. Sood is closing her up. Dr. Chugani and Dr. Asano just came out to talk with us. There is still some spiking on the right hemisphere but still no actual seizures noted. We will be very aggressive with the anti-seizure medication to ensure WE NEVER SEE ANOTHER SEIZURE AGAIN. We will update more when Sophie is transferred to the ICU. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!!

A champagne shower for sure, if I could figure out a way to package it and have it to you ready at the RMH later today (they might disapprove in the ICU)! One just like the pros take after a major victory, one like this. I'm so happy for you and Sophie. She is a remarkable girl born to remarkable parents. Take some deep breathes now. It's been long-coming.

No news like great news. Just have to say HATS OFF TO BRAD AND ELAINE for fighting with all you had to give Sophie the best life she could ask for. Not all kids are as lucky as Sophie to have such great parents. Like they say, the best thing parents can do for their children is to love each other. Thanks for giving Spphie the strength to be a fighter.

Love you all, Aunt Tammy

This is music to my ears! All the positive energy, prayers, and wishes all came true today for your family. I just can't believe it. They didn't have to do anything to the motor/sensory cortex. NOTHING :-) So much weight has been lifted off my heart. I can't even begin to know what the two of you are feeling at this moment. Great job to the both you for being strong enough to take Sophie down this path. ~ Love, Erin

GO SOPHIE!!!!! YOU DID IT GIRL!!!!
