On May 10, 2006, at only 6 months old, Sophie was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms...a RARE and CATASTROPHIC form of epilepsy. She continues to battle this disorder on a daily basis. Only after she had the majority of her left hemisphere of her brain removed (on May 29, 2009) has she had a relief in seizures (though she continues to show spiking in her EEG). She has shown much improvement in development since the surgery.

Great kisses - I can't wait for the day that Aidan can give kisses back. Sweet video of Miss Sophie.
I think you have the right idea, think of all the wonderful times we have had with Sophie and all the good time to come. We'll all be here for you guys during the road to recovery. She has such an amazing spirit that we know she will have the strength to go through this. I can't imagine how hard today is for you guys but I hope you find comfort in knowing that you have done everything you can and the rest is in God's hands. We're all pulling for Sophie and praying for her. Love you guys.
