Here is one of Sophie's latest miracle moments...
As Sophie was sitting on the couch with one of her baby dolls, she had a two-sided conversation with her baby doll that went like this...
Sophie: Hi baby.
Sophie (talking for the baby): What is your name?
Sophie: Sophie. What is your name?
Sophie (talking for the baby): Baby.
I did not see it. But Brandon did. And I made him tell me the story over and over and over again. Sophie is going through another one of her developmental growth spurts. I wish I was on a reality TV show so that every little magical moment could be captured on film. Or maybe not, because with Sophie, every little magical moment comes with a not so...um...magical moment. Because as soon as Brandon turned his head to share the wonderful news, she decided to kick him where it hurts most on a male.

Oh Elaine, sounds like she is doing really good. That conversation of hers is simply amazing. All of the speech but then imaginative play is so good!!! Way to go Sophie!!! Katelyn's speech is still about 2 years behind :(
That's so great! (The development part, not the kicking Brandon part) :D
Way to go Sophie! It's so amazing to watch them develop...knowing what they've been through. We continue to have moments too...I was telling Danielle that my Trevor still amazes me. He loves sports and can figure out how many points they need to win and can add up baskets made. BUT at the same moment, he'll swear if they lose...ugh.
Hugs,
Sheila
So awesome!
I once read that whenever a young child is going through a learning growth spurt their behavior will get worse. I know that Sophie is obviously having to overcome a lot more issues, but I think the gist was as the brain reorganizes and assimilates new info children just tend to act out. I know I've found this true with my own toddler, so I can imagine it is also true with Sophie.
