Pumpkin Patch...

It was a gorgeous day and a spur of the moment decision. I am so glad we went.

Sophie and Elsa both had swim lessons that morning. Haley had dance practice. Afterwards, we all headed over to the toy store to pick out some birthday presents for Sophie and out to lunch. Once we got home, Sophie was unbearable. Moody, crabby, clingy, mischievous...just exhausting. We were already exhausted. It would have been nice to just come home and chill out for a few minutes. But with Sophie, she is always on the go. So we loaded all the kids up in the car and headed off to the local pumpkin patch. And we had a blast. For the first time, Sophie was...hmmm trying to find the right word...manageable. She was not doing her normal out of control behavior things like rolling around on the ground or grabbing at strangers or trying to stick her fingers in other kid's mouths. By the way, gotta love the chewy tube.

We have moments like this...where Sophie is manageable. They are few and far between. But when we get them...ahhhhh...I just soak them up.

I'm exhausted just looking at the pictures. Hope everyone went home and took a good long nap after that adventure!!!

We also have a P (p's and Q's) Its the favorite chewy so far. Don't you wish you could just download the brain and figure out what is going on. Its exhausting and overwhelming some days. Yes and rewarding and lovely too... Glad your day ended up well.

Ok, so I'm thinking you have taught me a lesson. If you can take the four kids out while already exhausted, I have no excuse not to get Austin out more! :)

Love the photos. Got a good giggle from the scarecrow pics!

We have a similar chewy. It's an Ark's Grabber. Looks very much like Sophie's only it's blue. I like how you have it attached. I need to do that. It'll save me many trips to the sink -Austin still won't hold on to anything for long.

And thanks for the input on the Felbatol. You don't know how relieved I was to hear that from you!

Holli - I bought this thing at the local fabric store that puts metal eyelets in clothing. I put one on the shoulder part of long sleeve shirts. I thread a shoelace from the opening in the neck and out the eyelet and tie a knot. This way she can't take it off. When she was just wearing t-shirts then I could just thread the shoelace from the neck opening and out the armhole and not put in an eyelet. Works wonders. She wears it all day long.

Sometimes those spur of the moment trips turn out to be the best ones of all. Sometimes they don't but waddya gonna do? :)

Looks like lots of fun. Got Bennett one of those chewy things...loves it.

Trevy loves his P! And his T.

Okay...so if Trevy is "hard to manage" in a few weeks...I'd better lose some of this stress weight chasing him!

Great pix Elaine...you're SO beautiful!
