More on our 24 hour video EEG...

The hookup was horrible. She was crying so hard that she was making herself gag. Not that the EEG tech wasn't great, it is just that Sophie is now very sensitive to anyone touching her head. Can't blame the girl.

Once she was hooked up, she did surprisingly well. She had my and Brandon's full attention. And the attention of any visitor or doctor that came into the room. There was this one doctor, in his fellowship, that came by to get familiar with Sophie's history. She was standing on the bed and he was standing in front of her. She put her arms in the air and kept saying up. So he would lift her up high in the air. Over and over and over again. He was an average size guy and I am sure he was getting tired of lifting all 38 pounds of her over his head. But he obliged until finally I grabbed her so he could make a quick exit.

Around 9pm, Brandon went home for the night. And Sophie and I snuggled up in bed for the night. She slept very well. But by the morning, she was ready to get out of there. I think 24 hours is her limit.

Here are a few video clips...

So cute!!! Her thank you was SO clear!!! She's so adorable Elaine!

Can't say I blame her for not wanting anyone near her head either!! How is she when you brush her hair?

Sophie looks great! Where did you get her cute hoodie sweaters? She has one in brown and white? Very nice. I love those. Emma used to have one in pink from Old Navy but haven't seen them since. But I don't get out shopping much these days. emma wears a uniform now and Nora just wears Emma's old stuff.

Sophie colored for a pretty long time. Great attention span. And she colored the majority of the page. Nora makes one line and is done.

Hope you are all doing well!

Adesta...She HATES when I brush her hair. Good thing it is straight and short. I hardly ever brush it.

Lori...I bought them at Old Navy the day before we left for the EEG. She did have some great moments that day with her attention span. Usually she scribbles a few lines and is done...she must have been extrememly bored ;)

Hi - thanks so much for visiting my blog. Feel free to link to my blog - is it ok if I do the same? Our doctor did mention Vig, but it takes a while to get (about the time it would take to go back) and he talked about the research about the effectiveness of ACTH with DS so we were going to give that a shot first. Such a crazy journey this is. I am so happy you found me, so I can explore your blog now. It is a whole new world. Take care and thanks again.

Saw Sophie at grandma Debbies house Thursday night. Her speach is unbelivable. (I should not really use that word because I always knew it was in there just waiting to come out. Just did not think it would be this soon. ) She seems to understand everthing. It was really exciting to here her say Tammy. She just about repeats everthing you say. But when i told her I was leaving, she said By Tammy. Melted my heart. She has really come a long way. Keep up the good work.

Love, aunt Tammy
